Overview

Ilorin Journal of Management Sciences (IJMS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. The Journal provides a platform for the dissemination of original research, theoretical contributions, case studies, and reviews in all areas of management sciences and related disciplines. IJMS is committed to advancing knowledge that bridges the gap between theory and practice, addressing contemporary issues in business, governance, and society. The journal welcomes contributions with strong methodological grounding, theoretical relevance, and practical implications for management practice within African contexts and the global environment.

Aim and Scope

The primary aim of the Ilorin Journal of Management Sciences is to publish impactful research that enhances understanding of managerial processes, organizational behaviour, policy implementation, and strategic leadership in a rapidly changing socio-economic and technological landscape. The journal seeks to:

ü  Promote interdisciplinary scholarship in management and related fields.

ü  Encourage context-sensitive research that addresses emerging challenges in developing and developed economies.

ü  Bridge the gap between theory and practice through policy-relevant and practitioner-oriented studies.

ü  Support scholarly debates that advance innovative perspectives, methodological rigor, and theoretical development.

The scope of the journal covers a wide range of themes within management sciences including organizational studies, strategic management, human resource management, entrepreneurship and innovation, governance and public sector management, business ethics, accounting, finance, marketing, operations management, digital management systems, and sustainability.

Editorial Policy

The Ilorin Journal of Management Sciences adheres to the highest standards of academic integrity, transparency, and scholarly excellence. All submissions are subjected to a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure originality, methodological soundness, theoretical contribution, and clarity of presentation. The journal accepts manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, and all manuscripts are screened using appropriate similarity detection tools.
